Nevermind. I got the picture.
Great fight night. Lots of really good fights. Crowd was huge.
BUT – next time PLEASE improve the sound system. I think only about half the room could tell what was being said. It was loud enough, but came off boomy & muffled on on the side of the convention center room farthest from the speakers.
Maybe all that’s needed are speakers spread around the room?
THANKS TO ALL OF THE FIGHTER’S GREAT JOB!! CONGRATS TO TREY BROWN (LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE), KELLY LEO (WELTERWEIGHT TITLE), AND TO WES SHIVERS (HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE). THANKS TO ALL OF THE MMA FANS!!! SHANE, WE WILL HAVE THE SOUND FIXED NEXT TIME FOR SURE…. IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME AND THE CONVENTIONS COMPLEX’S FIRST BIG SHOW THERE, WE SAW SEVERAL THINGS THAT WILL BE IMPROVED NEXT SHOW. ONCE AGAIN THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME OUT AND SUPPORTED PSYCHOUT PROMOTIONS. NEXT SHOW MAY 30. SEE YOU THERE!!
May 30 – awesome. I will be there. Do you know where it will be?
Re: Tim Moore
what an egregious misrepresentation of the facts. Tim Moore, heed the lesson from your most recent loss: stop talking..
First of timmy, Travis is no where near 205??? Maybe 185 at most. Secondly your boy Preston came into GS and said he was cornering you and wanted to know how we did our MMA workouts. That like BJ Penn’s corner man rolling in with GSP and what a good workout for a fight is. What sense does that make?
that should say and asking what a good fight workout is?
so i’m confused.. if 2 men were gonna fight for a “title” and 1 gets hurt.. then they find another to fight for the title.. but neither one are a current title holder correct??? then is the title a home made / make believe title?? please explain this to me?
that was not the case for this fight. The fight the was mentioned earlier was Trey’s first fight a couple of years ago. Tim WAS the title holder and now Trey IS the title holder. Neither was for the first fight between the two.
So Preston deserved a beat down while being otherwise civil while he was there?
Some people train and fight with class for the betterment and respect of the sport and their opponents… leaving drama for the drama queens.
Others get off on being immature and getting pussyhurt when their egos are even slightly bruised.
To each his own.
Ok but look at it from a GS view. Why else would someone from your corner come to our camp and ask about training when we know yall are fighting in a week. And you cannot tell me thats not partly what he was doing cause you have already admitted that you asked about our training.
Hmmmmm. Sounds like everyone is pointing fingers for this and that. I suggest that if you want to train in jackson go to M.W.C. they produce good product and i trrained there for almost a year before moving those guys are as cool as a fan and theres is some pretty good skill in there
Thanks for the promo Micah. When the hell are you coming back??? From M. W. C., congratulations to Trey and Wes on their title wins. Now I may be a little biased, but I have to say it… I have been training, rolling and sparring with Kelly Leo since the first day he walked into the Madison Wrestling Club with myself and Rich Swete almost 3 years ago. When Rich asked him why he wanted to join M. W. C., Kelly said he had never been in a fight and he wanted to see how he’d do. Well, so far you’ve done pretty damn good. CONGRATULATIONS CHAMP !!!
Can anyone tell me the song that was played before the fights started? It was the Bulls theme song with the rules of fight club remixed into it. It was awesome! Where can i find this?
First off. Good to see the sport growing. I normally don’t bother commenting on any event but the low class Gracie South school displayed some serious disregard for the sport and what it means to be a true competitor and just that. The posturing done by Trey Brown after he pulled off a TKO on Tim Moore was bullshit. He should have been scolded by his trainers/corner for acting in such a way. Learn some professionalism or you will go nowhere. One of the wonderful things about this sport is you can truly let your fists do the talking.. If you want to go ANYWHERE in the sport, anyway. You know what us guys from Las Vegas said when we saw that? Nothing, we just see a target on that kids/school’s back. Have some respect. Talking about other people getting knocked out next on this blog is a joke. You’re trash.
Jason, you cant only point the finger at Trey. Why not at Tim for flipping trey off pre-fight? What did your Vegas buddies think of that? Is a pose after a fight worse than the finger pre-fight? And as far as a target on anyone’s back i dont think there is one on GS or trey’s back nor should there be.
I think everyone just needs to let this whole deal die down. It was a brief moment in time, lot’s of adreneline was flowing, and of course there was some history there also. I am sure given the chance to do things again, both sides would have handled it differently.
As for Gracie South, Travis Neagle, Jarret Becks, and the other trainers, they are all top notch guys with no ill will in any of them. I believe anyone who has ever spent any time with any of them can attest to that. I consider them all good friends.
As for Tim, I am sure he is not a bad guy either, he just let emotions get them best of him also.
Congrats to the MWC guys, another big night for you guys. Another good group of guys…except Chuck, he sux!
Who the hell is matador1??? Probably one of those damn Gracie South guys, huh??? Just kidding… I concur with everything you said (except that last part!!!)
Ha, none other than your boy, Adam Black!
I kinda figured that it was either you or that old fart, Jim Turner………
Okay – can’t take this anymore….
Barrett never blew his knee out; he just saw that he was going to get wipped by Corvin and crumbled.
A friend of mine saw him a few days after the XFC 7 Fights and said that he didn’t have a brace or anything on his “injured” knee. He even added that Barrett was walking around just find – and was even headed the the gym!
I have actually heard this from a few people that know Barrett quite well; and they all agree.
Respect should be given to those that deserve it – and Barrett is not one of those…He talks a BIG game – but knows that he can’t deliver as a MMA Fighter; thus comes up with “excuses” for not delivering.
Don’t believe me? Do some background checking.
